Shirarahama Beach

Located on the coast of Kanayama Bay, this is the sister beach of Waikiki Beach (Hawaii). With its white sand extending over 600 meters as well the shallow ocean, Shirahama Beach is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Kansai region, attracting about 600,000 visitors during the summer swimming season every year. The cobalt blue ocean and rows of palm trees create a tropical atmosphere that can be experienced even in Japan, making it a popular resort area in the past as well as in the present.
