Ise
Kotaijingu (Naiku)

The shrine is dedicated to Amaterasu-Omikami, the guardian deity of all Japanese people. The Uji Bridge over the Isuzu River is said to be a bridge between the mundane and sacred worlds, and the long approach across the bridge leads to a vast Shinto shrine. It takes about 60 minutes to visit the three shrines of the main shrine, Shogu, and the second most important associated shrines, Aramatsuri-no-miya and Kazahi-no-minomiya. If you have time to spare, you can visit many shrines and rare buildings such as the " Imibiya-den" where food for the gods is prepared, to get a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.
