This route starts under the giant lion head of Namba Yasaka Shrine, checks off Yanmar Stadium and the 300-meter Abeno Harukas, then boards a Kintetsu limited express east — lunch box on your lap, Ise plain out the window. The afternoon belongs to Suzuka, hallowed ground of world motorsport, and the evening to the roar of the Asian Games at Mizuho Park, with late-night arcade food in Osu as the victory lap.

Morning: Osaka's pre-game ritual

Three quick stops before the express leaves — one for luck, one for scale, one for the love of the game.

9:00 - Namba Yasaka Shrine & Yanmar Stadium Nagai

Start at Namba Yasaka, where a lion head the size of a building opens its mouth over the courtyard — worshippers say it devours misfortune and inhales victory, which makes it the correct first stop on game day. Then ride south to Nagai Park for a look at Yanmar Stadium, an arena that has hosted everything from world athletics to international football tournaments.

11:00 - harukas300

Before leaving town, go vertical: the 300-meter ABENO HARUKAS rises directly above Osaka-Abenobashi Station, and its top-floor observatory harukas300 puts the whole city at your feet — on clear days the view runs from the mountains to the bay. Grab an ekiben ; the limited express from Tsuruhashi Station is your lunchroom.

Afternoon: the temple of speed

An hour and a half east, the Suzuka mountains rise — and beneath them, the most storied racetrack in Asia.

14:00 - SUZUKA CIRCUIT

Suzuka Circuit Park is a family-oriented amusement park where visitors can experience the joy of driving. Its most distinctive feature is the wide variety of attractions that guests can operate themselves.

IG Arena is the beating heart of the Nagoya Asian Games — arrive early enough to soak Nagoya Catsle Park before your event. When the final whistle blows, more ride brings you to the Osu and Yabacho, which stay lively late: fried chicken wings, taiwan ramen, and a well-earned toast to the day.
