JR Central Green Procurement Guidelines

More so now than ever, JR Central has proactively promoted efforts that further improve the railway's special quality of placing little burden on the global environment. In order to contribute directly to preserving our global environment through increasing the railway's energy efficiency and to promote further use of the railway with its little burden on the global environment so as to curb the load placed on the environment by all transportation, JR Central will strive to construct an attractive railway transportation system.
As part of this commitment, JR Central engages in green procurement, which gives priority to procuring earth-conscious materials. Accordingly, we established the JR Green Procurement Guidelines to strengthen our partnership with suppliers, and we will cooperate with them to contribute to preserving our global environment.
